The first pic I hope to show is of a point I would like help Identifying. One of the ears is broken off and I believe this point to be a Quad, but I'm not sure. The second pic is another point I would like help identifying. I don't have a clue where to start. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Can't help with the ID but nice points ... thanks for sharing and welcome to TNET ~ Jimmy

relix, here's a great site for helping to ID points and Knives.

http://www.projectilepoints.net/

As for the types of those you have pictured, the first one does look like it could be a Quad or maybe a Beaver Lake. Is there any grinding along the sides and end of the base area? The second point looks like a Palmer to me. We find quite a few of these little serrated types in my area.

in my neck of the woods, the 1st would be considered early archaic, the second early to middle archaic. so much depends on location. im` always late or 2 darn early!

Here's a website I use for identifying points, it's from the Ohio historical society, has some very interesting reads on different cultures from the paleo to the late woodland period. http://www.oplin.org/point/images/what.jpg

Edit. Apparently I did'nt copy that link right. Just do a Google search on "Whats The Point Ohio indian artifacts" and it will take you to the link.
