First Barber Quarter marks first silver of '15

Not a bad find for the early start of the season here. It's in rough shape, but still a thrill to unearth.

My first Barber was a 1903 dime that I detected at an old "dude ranch " in the mountains near Cowles ,NM. in 2003. I was
stoked , it was my first century old silver coin . Nice Find ! (I have yet to find a Barber quarter or half )

I see nothing rough about that!
Great find!

Barber quarters are a beautiful thing. Congrats!

That Barber reminds me... I need to go get myself a haircut today. Good job!

It look great to me. Keep digging and show us more

Nice digs. take a barber any day.

Nice start to the season with a nice chunky piece of silver

Very nice kickoff coin. Congrats. GL&HH!

One of my first ever silver coins was a barber quarter, that's an Awesome start to the year!!

I don't believe there's such a thing as a barber coin in rough shape. Congrats!!

Nice! My 1st silver coin with my detector was an 1898 Barber Quarter. It's my avatar.

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us .

That is one heck of a find! May your year continue with good luck like this...Brad

Good going, man. My first Barber was a 1903-O too that I found in a creek while I was looking for bottles and arrowheads. Goes to show that you never know.

Nice way to start the season. I always like finding Barber quarters. I probably find 10 Barber dimes for every one Barber quarter.

IMO, the Barber quarter has the most beautiful reverse of any American coin. That's a great find any day of the week.
