First beach hunt- was a very short one

Used the Garrett sand scoop, scoop is very solid and made well, I may have to put a long handle on it for deep water hunting.


Went up to Petoskey the other day and hunted the Petoskey State park beach. There was some nasty film in the water so I did not go in, detected the beach for about 30 minutes before we left.

Found one quarter, three dimes, and 29 new shiny 2012 D shield pennies all in the same area.

Maybe next time I will get to test it in the water.

I have one just like that you might want to cushion the T area on the handle It kept cutting my finger when I would scoop I used some pipe wrap and electrical tape.Works great now.I also will add handle later.
