I've been watching this forum for a month or so now, so I thought I'd jump in and see how it went. I went to my credit union and had them order a $500 box of halves and searched them tonight.
I was pretty pleased with the results:
1 1965 Kennedy
1 1966
1 1967
1 1968
6 1776-1976 Proof halves - 2 of them nice really nice deep cameos, 2 cameos and 2 regular proofs.
I've found proof coins in circulation before, and they were obviously circulated. I was really pleased with the proofs and the condition they were still in. I'm thinking I'll probably take them in the next time there is a coin show in town and see if they might want to buy them. I will save the silver, however.
