Allright!! That's more like it!

Picked up a $500 box today from Wells Fargo and got:

- three 40%-ers (a 1965 and two 1967's)

- a 1978S impaired proof

- a bicentennial with the largest hole I've ever seen (6mm in diameter) right over Kennedy's mouth and nose. Someone had filled it in with solder but I popped it out.

Very happy with the results! No 90%-ers, Frankies or Walkers but those will come in time. I was just glad to see no brand new coins or taped up rolls (they were in yellow, bank-wrapped paper). Keep hunting everyone and good luck!

Keep those boxes comming. See if your bankj will do one a week. Or more.

Congrtulations on the silver Immy! There's more out there, just keep buying the boxes and carefully
checking each halve. How is the proof coin impaired?

Thanks everyone. "Impaired" is just a numismatic term for any proof coin found in circulation.

Tried the penny casino too today and got okay results from the usual $10-

Wheaties: 1956-D, 1957-D

Canadian: one shiny 1964, 1976, 1983, 2001

Way to go on the silver!

And thanks for mentioning how the halves were wrapped.
I wonder if certain types of rolls produce more silver? Would be nice if we all keep track.

So far I'm striking out on clear wrapped rolls.

just got plain wrapped ones from the bank bought all they had and i had good results. didn't try the loose ones yet
