First Canadian Coin 1976 5 Cent Piece...

Here are my finds for the weekend.

Most notable from the picture at the bottom is a Sacagawea dollar coin and a Canadian 5 cent piece. I also found plenty of change, shell casings, bullets and a small piece of quartz from a local mine.

Nice pile of loot there! Did the quartz sound off on your detector, or was it an eye find? Maybe there's a little gold hiding in there....

I spied it with my eye. I am researching a local mine and was prospecting some tailings. I will be headed back did not get much time out there.

Just watch out for those Canadian quarters! Last year I saw the edge of one sticking out of the plug and almost did a "happy dance" for finding a silver quarter.... but it was just a Canadian quarter. It was worth a laugh.
