My persistence finally paid off after 15 years. I dug my first Confederate Button, the attached Confederate Staff Officer local Button with the "Droop Eagle wings".

The back mark is plain. It was late and getting dark. I had 15 minutes left to hunt before it would be to dark to see anything. The signal was a solid pull tab where other pull tabs had just been dug. It was only four inches deep.

AWESOME button! Huge congrats on your first! :occasion14:

Fantastic, man! Really sweet. I guess that's why the serious boys dig almost EVERYTHING!

Very nice on the button.

Congratz on an awesome button!

Sweet button. CONGRATS

That's a great button!! Would look awesome in any collection. Confederate finds of any kind are heart stoppers in my book.

Very nice button! Love digging military buttons. Very cool. Congrats

Wow,that is a great one to find.

Thats a cool looking button. Good digs

Great save! Hope to be fortunate enough one day to get to hunt an area with CW activity. I so badly want to find just one relic from the war.

Very nicely done.
I have dug my share of Pulltabs and would not have deliberately dug that target unless it was an area away from a park.
