Between the late thaw, frost in the ground and being busy with family in the hospital I haven't had much time out this spring so far. Have managed a few short hunts, mostly trying to find some new sites. Here's what I've managed in about 3 or 4 hours total hunting so far this year. 1863 Indian head, 1950 nickel, few crusty coppers, musketballs, Dominion Cartridge C. 16 gauge shell. The 1863 came from a new site in the woods I came across yesterday, seems like it has potential!

Hey good luck on your new site. I hope you find lots there. So the coppers are getting toasted in Canada as well? Nice finds.

Yeah, a good 25% of the coppers I find have nothing readable on them at all!
