It's been over 85 degrees past few days, I figured it was time for the first swim. I found another pair of pliers, another pocket knife, 1945, 46, 46 wheats and a 1946 silver Rosie. Not bad first day back I was there about 2 and a half hours. My first target I went after, I got on the third scoop, was the 46 Rosie.

Enjoy the pix

Love the first target scores. Keeps you at attention. The lake is doing nothing good for the copper and silver. next time out, GOLD!

Nice. I really want to find some water treasure this year but I tried my Deus in my brackish river and it sucked so Im gonna have to get a pricy dedicated water detector:(

Nice finds I like your float sifter.

Thanks for sharing!

back to the water, the water has been very kind to you, having said that, the one behind the detector is pretty good too. congrats on the new year start in the water

Mr Brad, nice going buddy. You did the right thing by going in the water. Floating around while detecting in cool water sounds heavenly.

So....do you stumble in the water? ;)

Nice Brad. Getting that time of year for sure!

Good to see your back in! No place else like it, see you this summer.

Next time out I'll be under the water, slim pickings in where I was today. I'll use my Hookamax and detect where I left off last fall. Thanks

Congrats on the nice water outing
Thanks Art

Minelab excalibur II is my recomendation, although I love my deus in the water. Moe from Deus Mass repairs told me the new program and double d coil can hunt in salt water. I'll stick with my Excal until I can afford to buy a new coil, only thing is I want to test run one in salt water before I go spending 500 bucks

Nice finds I like your float sifter.
I'm going to make a bigger one tomorrow, thanks

I love it, and that lake and the other one are both beautiful. Thanks Steve

I took quite a stumble in a hole that I unexpectedly stepped in, I'can stumble with the best of them. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, I'll be trying a few suspect colonial swimming holes soon.

Thanks Joe, I look forward to spending time with you on the water. I'm going to try more down the shore after it gets crowded down there this summer. As of now, I'm 60 pounds lighter and still on track to lose more!

Your finds today I would have figured to be recent drops.....
Cuz I thought you cleaned out that lake years ago!
Congrats!

Brad you are my hero, I want to be just like you when I retire. I simply love the way you stay busy living life, doing what you want to. Congrats on getting back into the water. Where I hunt in Ohio, you pulled 4 keeper coins.

Oh my! That brings back memories! Falling in holes, off an unexpected drop off, waves, how one tried to keep their foot on the spot
when the water kept lifting you up, trying to push down on the scoop without pushing yourself up off the spot, how the motion of the ocean kept
trying to drift you away, trying to dump the scoop in the sift box when it was being washed away from you.....yeah........memories! LOL

Especially that one memory of that solid gold band, perched on top of a mound of sand sticking out of the top of your scoop and seeing, for the first time, a 1 carat diamond, in a Tiffany setting smiling back at you! For the VERY FIRST TIME! Yeah.....memories! :)

Proof again that no site is ever cleaned out, thanks Dave

Thanks Kevin, I like flying by the seat of my pants, I have plans for this summer going into NY with the boat and my underwater gear. I have researched a French early in-habitation, I just need the weather to cooperate. I'm going to stay at a campground and use my Eureka pup tent with my new queen size air mattress and box fan. Here in south Jersey I call that four keepers, only spoiled brats call it 7-11 coffee money, lol

That's what I like about my lakes, not quite as much drama as the ocean, I also have quite a few memories of gold, diamonds, and ruby's in my scoop. Not any One carat diamonds.....yet.

Cleaned up with the Hillbilly zapper!
