Hi friends. Between working 2 jobs, selling my house and planning a wedding ... I have not had too much time to spend on the hobby that I love so much. However I have had a recent case of spring fever which has hit me hard and I just had to get out and dig some holes.

No silver yet this year bit I have found a few neat relics and some other things.

Here's the good stuff first.

I dug this last night. It's the size of my pinky nail. This is an old gold plated Miracalous Medal. I found this a few feet away from the Hungarian Catholic St. Mary religious medallion I found last fall. Was about 10 inches down. This was a jumpy signal and I almost didn't dig it because I was sure it was a pulltab. Goes to show that you have to dig those iffy signals.

This wheat was a coinstar find. I was wondering if this is a die error. The reverse side looks to be clipped on the side corner. Is this rolled, shaved or cut I have no idea. Any help would be much appreciated

Another wheat cent and really cool ornate 1930s key

Finally dug my first piece of pottery, and my first lock, and some random brass bolt thing

Finally here's a picture of some clad I found with my soon-to-be 10-year-old stepson who just loves to go metaldetecting. The coolest thing of this picture is in the bottom we found one of those presidential dollar coins for President John Tyler. my stepson is named John Tyler. We were both super excited to find this going even though not worth much it was very special to us.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and digging my digs :icon_thumright:

Any help on that wheat penny would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and great weekend

I would drill that "President John Tyler" coin and present it to Master John Tyler on a nice Silver chain.
Congrats on a cool hunt

That sir is a great idea and he will be turning 11 in a few months. I think that would make a perfect birthday present - thank you for the idea, I love it

the wheat cent looks like it has PMD (post mint damage)
