Went into B of A again a few days ago and asked the teller if he happened to have a box of half dollars. I'm not sure why I thought he might happen to have a full box just kicking around waiting to go, but the had the cash on hand and I felt optimistic I suppose. There was no box to be had, nothing even close, but he offered me the $30 he had, so I bought that, along with $250 in dimes. I was expecting the dimes to be boxed, but instead there were $200 in mwr and $50 in cwr, all in String and Sons wrappers.

The results were unexpected. I thought the halves would skunk me for sure because I'm always wary of scotch tape over the end of rolls, but they produced a lone 1969 D, so I suppose it wasn't a dump after all. I figured I could expect one silver dime, but none appeared. That being said, I did get three 2009Ps and my first 2009D, along with five 2015Ps that have been struck through a good amount of grease ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1467645877.695484.webp

Besides all the generic errors like misaligned dies, die cracks, doubled dies, clipped planchets, cuds, struck-throughs, etc., are there any particular dime errors/varieties I should be keeping my eyes peeled for besides the 1982 no mm? I've heard that Roosevelt dimes are notoriously boring but it's good to double check.

In other news I finally got some folders for my common dates, some Littleton, some Whitman. I prefer the Littleton ones because they are cheaper and easier to get the coins into, but that might just be a personal preference.

Happy Independence Day everyone! In addition to all the rights and freedoms we enjoy as Americans, I'm proud to celebrate our awesome coinage! Except for Shield Cents and those god awful front-facing Jeffersons they started cranking out in 2006......
