first find at old chinese mines [old brass handle]

hey everyone,went to the old chinese gold mine area this afternoon. got a lot of rubbish and bottle tops.after 3 hours ready to give up ,then got a clear hit on the mine lab.it was brass handle for what! the top has some fine engraving on it and a brass ring below the handle has pins to hold it in a wooden frame.anyone got any ideas. the steel shaft is in abad way.so no gold

I suggest that it is most likely a hadle for a bowl or some other decorative item. the fine engraving means that it was something important, not mineing equipment. maybe search chinese bowls.
