Picture isn't the best but I found a few square nails today on a trip to check the condition of a Geo cache after the winter.

Hey Orygun. Nice nails! Spill it.....What are you huntin' for. We don't keep secrets around here ;D CO2

Really I took the kids out to check the log and see how one of my geocaches wintered. I brought the new Ace250 along and figured I would let the kids dig some old soda cans or whatever I was however pleasantly surprised by the nails. Here is a photo of the cache location, The nails were found down the creek a few hundred yards, By the way we didn't find any old cans? :p

Ory, looked up my area on geocaches but since I don't have a GPS figured would only find one by accident with MD. But from what I've seen, it looks like fun.HH

Stoney its really something you should look into, leads to tons of places to go MDing. I was into it heavy last year and will get back to it this year but this year the Ace will accompany me on all my expeditions.

Ory, hope you know that those square nails were used to build something. There must be a foundation or something in that area. I'd check it out a little better. As far as geocaching, I'll keep it in mind and read up more on it. HH

They kind of look like railroad spikes but not as thick. What is Geocaching? I'm assuming it has to do with geodes. cool finds on the nails :)

I seen the story about GeoCaching on the discovery channel. I think it was...
Already forgot all about it,, thanks for the reminder, looks like it could be a fun way to kill some time.
Haven' t heard of any bad goings on with it, have ya?
Looks like a good way to get someone to a remote location.
Be careful out there...

Hey thanks for posting Orygun. I went to the site I posted to learn more about it. I could not believe when I did a search radius of just 20mi from my house there are nearly 100 caches with the closest being just 1 mi. I was debating on picking up a gps for hunting and after reading the page thought it would be a fun thing to do with the wife from time to time. Ordered that gps and look forward to giving this a shot.
