??? .... and i got no clue what they are yet. The ground here is still frozen below an inch or two. So while i couldn't wait to get out... here's what I did.

I 'borrowed' a bunch of little ground flags our engineering dept. uses for locates (you know, finding gas lines, hydro lines etc underground) and went out to a property I recently got permission to hunt. The late 1800's house is in good order but empty right now and off the beaten path. So I did a quick scan along the front yard and one of the side yards and stuck a flag in where ever I got a good signal. lol

The yard looks funny with a bunch of multicoloured flags placed haphazardly around. I'll return in a month with my trusty Lesche and see what we got.

Man, I was disappointed I forgot my camera. I knew I wouldn't be digging anything up today so i didn't bring it. But when I was done and got in my car I looked out over the large front lawn and laughed knowing you guys would at least appreciate my efforts and the view of all these flags sticking up.

To be continued in April.... :icon_sunny:

lol That definitely would have made for a fun pic!

and now you have to go back and dig up all those nice coins WTG.

Thanks guys. I'm really excited about this property. Was owned by a prominent lawyer who had it built 1800-something (don't have the info infront of me). It's still in his family and the road it's on is named after him. Gorgeuos manicured lawns, large fountain in the side yard, and a large one in front where the driveway loops around to the front door.

I'm anxious about these flags....
