I was getting frustrated and overwhelmed with the new Etrac, mainly because I was over thinking every thing about it. I talked to 4H who gave me some great advise and his favorite pattern and my first real outing turned out very well for me. By the way I didn't know 4H when I bought the detector, But that didn't matter he was more than willing to help even though he was not the seller. 4H is the type of person that makes these forums work and keeps people in the hobby. If you need help or equipment, I highly recommend him and we have never even met.

That's not bad for you first time out with the ole Minelab. :icon_thumleft:

Awesome finds Congratulations [detecting]

Great finds!! :icon_thumleft:

I'm considering an Etrac myself, my significant other has one.....and he loves it. HH!! ;D

That baby is in way better shape than what I been finding lately from WW1. I rarely ever get to see the backmark of the button. The fronts are nice, just not the backs. Good digging.

Great finds with the new Etrac, you will get the hang of it and then fall in love with it, and as far as that 4H Mike guy, well he is about as good as it gets, as you have seen and many more on here have, he goes the extra mile for the hobby, not just as a dealer, but a fellow dirt digger not looking to make a fortune, but willing to give it. HH

Congrats on the finds... very nice... 4H is a very helpful guy indeed. I also did not buy my Etrac from him but he took the time to help me extensively. If I had bought from him I would have been fully informed about the Etrac's lack of manual ground balance settings and how this affects its abilities *read that...very poor to none*...when you try to use it to find gold nuggets. Live and learn. Every machine has its limitations...time to look for a good deal on a used GPX series unit. ::) Randy

That button is in AMAZING shape :headbang:

I'm guessing you love the e-trac now, correct? :laughing7:

Did you clean it up at all? It looks like it was just made yesterday :hello2:

Very, very nice :icon_sunny:

Nice finds with the Minelab. I heard rumors that 4-H is a good guy. I believe they are true.

Looks like the Etrac was good to you. Put your time in, find some great sites and the finds will keep coming.

Great finds. Mike (4-H) is a hunting buddy of mine and he is true metal detectors role model. If anyone has any questions about their Minelab he is the go to guy. And I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Minelab. He gives what customer service is all about.

Congrats on your finds. 4-H is a master relic hunter in my opinion who freely shares his knowkedge with whoever needs his advice. The true mark of a "Master Relic Hunter" is not WHAT he/she has found but rather the KNOWLEDGE they have shared with others in the hobby. HH, Quindy.

nothing but good things to say about Mike (4-H) either...He's a credit to the field!
Oh by the way a great find!

I did run it through my sonic cleaner but that was about it. For some reason this small piece of ground must be very neutral. I found the IH about ten ffet from the button and I think it is in great shape.

what a great hunt! keep at er!
