Another great day to hunt a CW fort and found these items...unsure if the bullets are CW, they were in the wood burried 4 inches in the sandy soil, lots of old wood around here, bullets seem to be in the .40-.44 range I guess and have the opening on back. I split open the wood to find bullets inside...I know my creek bullets don't patina but not sure about tree bullets completely submersed within the wood...any ideas? Thanks!

Congrats on your first flat button. I never get tired of finding them

I almost wanna say more modern but not sure. The base of the one in the bottom pic almost resembles the base of a C.S Gardner. You might want to post some better pics of it.Then again someone on here might be able to tell you right off the bat.Congrats on first flat button.

Hard to say on the bullets. May be a little small to be CW era rifle. Most pistol bullets were flat base, so just hard to say. Maybe some of the other members will come up with something. Congrats on the flat button.
