First Gold Coin is my Best Find Ever!!

Found on Sunday, Aug. 19th...still can't believe it! I've been hunting for 20+ years and have only heard stories of those who had dug gold coins.

She's an 1851 $2 1/2 Dollar with great details and a few edge nicks that I can definitely live with!

First two pics are freshly dug, and the next are cleaned up a bit....Enjoy!

Thanks guys! She was found about 10ft. from an old foundation (1700's) in a trashy area...so I used 'Mixed Mode' on my XLT to help with the discrimination....and it worked GREAT!
