Hello everyone. It has been a while since I’ve posted here. I haven’t been out much because life gets in the way sometimes. I had a free night tonight and decided to fire up the detector and go around in my yard. I’m living in a 1923 house in the older part of town. So far I’ve found my first war nickels and buffalo nickel here.

Tonight I just went in the back yard. As soon as I turned it on I got a solid 70-71 signal on the AT Pro. It was very shallow. As soon as I flipped the grass over I couldn’t believe my eyes. My first gold! It’s a large men’s wedding ring 10k. There are no inscriptions on it. I pretty much packed it up for the night after finding it. I’m still in a little disbelief right now.

Side note. I didn’t think gold would ring that high on the AT Pro. I have to relearn things I’ve forgotten because I haven’t been out for so long.

Nothing like doing off your doorstep, congrats on the gold ring.

Well done!!! 🙌 It's a beauty!

Congratulations on your First Gold Ticket! :occasion14::headbang:

Welcome to the gold club! Great job and congratulations!:occasion14:

Congrats on the gold. Depending on karat and what other metal is used gold can ring up anywhere from forty to seventy on the AT. Other factors can be ground balance or ground moisture. Imagine how many gold items are skipped over by detectorists each year!

The first gold ring is something to treasure. Congrats.

Congrats on your first gold. Very nice ring.

good job hope you find many more the good thing about the at is gold the vdi will stay constant and might fluxuate 1 or 2 numbers pop tops will bounce 7 to 8 numbers my ring setting is gb then turn the balance down by 10 deep nickles and rings good machine great post

10 k is something like 40 % pure thats why it rang up so high great find keep it up

Very nice looking ring. Congrats on the gold.

pretty sweet! my wife keeps hoping to find one for me to wear. I have one but it is too small for my knuckles now, arthritis.

Beautiful find, congratulations! :occasion14:

To quote Dorothy"there's no place like home, there's no place like home." Nice find. Congrats on your first gold.

Tomhighland is right.

Your yard sounds great. Cover every inch there is sure to be more goodies to uncover.
