First hunt in a while

Havent been out since September. It was a pretty nice day for winter in NY so I decided to go to one of my spots. a local church picnic ground. Built in the early 50's. Only hunted for about 2 hours. Got a few clad coins, a 1927 wheat, 1947 wheat, 1954d wheat and finally dug my first mercury dime. I have been detecting for a little over a year and have dug a good amount of silver.
But never a merc. Its a 1920. Only pic I could get was with my phone so sorry for the poor quality.

Looks like our diggin is about over, 2-4 inches of snow coming. im diggin my own lawn today for the 100th time or more. built in 1890. im just 20 miles east of binghamton--ever need a diggin partner let me know--my partner is going for knee surg so he will be down for a while----good luck---remember--- a bad day of diggin is better then a good day at work.

20 miles east? Deposit area? Im always looking for new people to hunt with and new places to hunt as well. A good friend of mine just retired and wants to detect a lot more, and my father is retired and will go for a hunt anytime. So lets all get together in the spring or if this snow stays away. That would be good....

Nineveh is where im at, just over beldin hill. a friend called me this morn. said he got me perm. to hit an 1860 house in afton--out the door i went== hunted til 3 pm----nothing but new coins and junk--cant get over it--should of been ihc and silver dimes galore--i will try it again----keep in touch---a bad day of diggin is better then a good day at work-----tom

Thanks I was excited about it. We had a good spot for silver for a while. I literally would be digging a target and my 2 hunting partners would be digging mercs around me. And i never got one there. So it was a small victory to finally get one after a year.....
