I finally got out for the first time this year after being inspired by some of the Illinois videos I've seen. No luck today but it was good to get out.
I did find an older rifle/gun hammer and some melted lead, clad and a big copper conducter for the old electric train that used to run up this way up until the 50's. I was really hoping this train depot site would produce but there was a ton of fill dirt brought in sometime ago. Also went to an older home site and what can you say about a site that produces both square nails and memorials at 9 inches deep
. Oh well, patience is the name of the game I guess. Thanks for reading.
