Was hiking in Southern Oregon and found a small mining village on a beautiful creek. Hunted for a few minutes during the lunch break and found a great 1900 IH. What is interesting is this Penny was minted 41 years after Oregon became a state. Can't wait to get back out there and search the site a little more thoroughly. Thanks for looking and HH.

Beautiful IH!

chiloquin,

Sometimes like in your case we just happen across possible good spots for detecting, that takes perseverance that just happens to be good for the health of the body as well as the mind and spirit! Well Done...................63bkpkr

Still my favorite coin to dig:icon_thumright:

Thanks all. I'll be heading out there again and doing some more exploring for other mining sites. After I left the East Coast I thought I might not find another one of these.

HH
