Ok this thing is the real deal. It hit this 1864 U.S. 2 cent coin at over 9" with a repeatable tone. I have swung over this area with all my detectors many times and pulled a Indian cent in almost same spot with my at gold but never heard this coin. Very impressed to say the least. It has great separation and great depth also. I'm def still learning but tweaked the settings in relic and was able to hit this coin. Awesome find. Found one myself, same year, about 4 years ago. Congrats

Beautiful coin very nice color and condition

Really nice!! Can't wait.

I just got a Deus too so what settings have been working best for you?

Depends on site but was running relic with sens at 94 reactivity at 2 iron vol 3 full tones disk at 4.7 audio respond 4 ground balance manual freq 12 swinging slow and overlapping. Worked great for a semi trashy spot. I tried tracking ground balance also and that worked good also.

How about the silencer setting

What size coil are you swinging?
I'm considering a XP Deus, and have been swinging an AT-Pro for the past three years. What's the learning curve like?

The only negative I can see as compared to the AT Pro is the Deus's inability to give a VDI number on some targets. The Deus still gives a sweet sound on deep coins that says DIG ME though. The lightweight and performance in iron even with the 11" coil more than makes up for that though. Ive only used it three times though:laughing7:

Using the 11" and the learning curve is a bit harder than the pro but it's fun for me to run through the settings and tweak the machine. It's like having multiple detectors in one. It's def an upgrade and worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Kodiak, try experimenting with the silencer set at zero because anything higher than that sacrifices a little depth. There is a quirk in the deus programming that resets silencer to default setting (2 or 3, depending on reactivity setting chosen) whenever you change the reactivity so be sure to set it back to 0 or at most 1 (if noise is a problem) if you change reactivity setting.
