First river swimming area hunt.

Took My insulated waders, scoop and detector to a spot in a near by creek that is swam in a lot in the summer time. The water was nice, even though there was snow on the banks. I only got cold once where I had to warm up. Got both My gloves filled with water and a little too deep.
Had a Great time and got some good practice in. I was afraid that My beach scoop would have trouble considering that I live in the land of rocks, Missouri. It actually wasn't too hard in the creek. I dug several bottle caps and pull tabs, but not near as many as I thought there would be.
I didn't find any Silver or Gold, but easily nailed all the coins that got under My coil. Pulling the nickels out so easily was nice too. Maybe next time it'll be a Gold Ring. I'm already planning all the local rivers and beaches. Considering the Civil War came through here and all the creek swimming holes I'm sure I may turn up something interesting. I love your tenacious detecting and hard core hunting style mate.Getting wet in the heart of winter ain't for sissies! Also love seeing a CTX get used in the water like it was designed to do. Go "aquachigger" on that spot come warmer weather. Nice pictures too buddy.

Okay! Now you did it! I'm going stir crazy waiting to get some kind of thaw here (Maine). A few rivers and stream are open and I'm going to give that a try (not that I wasn't thinking about it before). Seeing your pics convinced me that nobody died doing this sort of thing. If I'm never heard from again, please inform the authorities. I'm going in!!!
