Chris,

Last winter we had a couple that stuck around and didn't fly south....heck I thought birds were smarter than us for not putting up with our horrendous winters....lol.

Regards + HH

Heck yeah! It's worth the early return to the north with all the good eats you provide. Robins are staying around here through the winter month. I've noticed some red wing black birds are returning to the cat tail marshes around home here also. That seems early to me. Maybe signs of an early spring ??

Only way to know is wait and see...like so many things in life.

They're out in force down here but, they will be gone in a month.

I had about 2 dozen robins show up here on the 2nd, Groundhog Day, never seen them earlier than the 15th of Feb. before.

It was 62 degrees Friday, 65 on Saturday, and 64 yesterday. The trees look like they are about to start blooming! I've only been here for about 8 years, but have seen several times, the trees bloom and then we get a hard freeze. Probably gonna happen again this year. If it doesn't, there'll be some really early fruit on the trees! Haven't seen any robins, yet.
