First Roundball

Got out on Tues to an old 1890 farmstead in the middle of a mile section. Have been there once before and came up with 2 tax tokens. Worked area hard for a couple hours and found a few things mostly iron. Sure enough on the way back to the car in the middle of the field I get a good signal. Dug it and got this. My first old bullet. Thanks for reading and go get dirty.

Looks to be in nice shape. Some get turned into unidentifiable blobs that only a detector can tell from a stone, lol. Good luck to you.

Those are tough to find, the only round ball I have is the smaller one from a "buck in ball" shot

Now thats funny! my favorite brother. Next time you hit a promising field, take the Cibola, crank it up hot, very little discrimination, and dig all solid, repeatable targets. Trying to find a field close to home, no luck yet.
