Had about an hour or so to waste today, so I hit the site of an old cabin that I have hit several times along with some friends over the past couple of years. Thought I'd try my luck with the XTerra 70 to see what I have missed.

First target dug was the 1952 Wheat. Good solid signal and a good sign of decent targets still being there. This was about 6 inches deep.

Second target was the 1945 Mercury! Another good solid tone at 6 inches deep. I was confident that this dig was going to be a dime and was holding out hope for a Mercury or older.

Third target was junk piece of pot metal, apparently from an old hot wheels car. (not pictured)

Finally, I dug the 1934 Wheat.

I did dig a piece of old crushed foil that rang up too close to a quarter signal to pass up.

I did sort of cherry pick the site today, being pressed for time. Lot's of wavering signals that are certainly worth going back and investigating. I can hunt this spot anytime I have free time to burn, so I will get back there as soon as I can!

Thanks for looking!

Nice finds Beetle! I really expect to see a nice hunt from a row of worker cabins from the mid or early 1800s from your parts of the world. I'll bet there are a few small caches around those old cabins. HH, Mike
