While trying out my new minelab equinox 600 today for the second time I found my first silver coin. 1943 mercury dime. I've just been searching the yard to try and get use to the machine and was excited to see it. The property was my great grandmas before I moved in so I was excited when I found it.

That is so cool, congrats on your first silver coin! BTW, my first silver coin was a 1943 Merc too!

What an awesome feeling that first silver is- 1961-D dime in 1991 for me- Congrats! Here's hoping there's many more - maybe right in your own yard- GL!

Very nice! Still waiting for my first silver...soon I hope!

Congratulations! A mercury dime makes a great first, My first was a ‘61 Roosevelt. Hope for more and better to come! :occasion14::occasion14:

Thanks guys, I'm definitely hooked. Can't wait till I can go looking again.

Very nice! I still have not found a silver coin, but I'm usually in the woods and swamps. On a side note, my brother lives in McBee. I'm over in Murrells Inlet.

Nice, you’re gonna love that machine, mines got me over 45 silver coins this year!! My first silver was a ‘51 Rosie I think, nothing like that feeling, congrats

Congratulations on finding your first mercury dime! I own both the XP Deus and Minelab Equinox 600. I've been using the Equinox as my primary machine this year and have been "vacuuming" the old coins out of the ground. You're going to love that machine!

Great grandmother era sounds like there could be more silver hiding in there! Congrats on a beauty of a silver!!! Very neat to think that your Great Granny could have lost that very coin!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Congratulations the feeling of seeing that silver never gets old

Congrats on your first silver coin. I hope many more follow.

Way to go! I'll bet there are a lot more old silvers in your future.

FAN DIME TASTIC! My first was a 1954D dime in 1984. Grats and many many more!
