First Silver Ever!

I've had my metal detector for a couple of months now. After finding clad and a few wheaties, I finally pulled my first silver - 1942 Quarter!! Was at a nearby park that is littered really badly with pulltabs and bottlecaps.

Congrats on the Silver! and welcome to the forum. I know those pull tabs are a pain in the neck, but you'll have to clean them out before you can get the really good stuff. The fact that you found silver there means that there is a good chance that you'll get more. Pull tabs mean that the site hasn't really been worked or worked properly. There's more to be had for those who do the work.

Congrats on your first silver! It took me several months before I found my first silver coin (a 1920 dime) and I have found 3 more in the past 2 weeks, so they will start to come in a hurry now

Thanks everyone! It's amazing how clean was when it came out of the ground. I'll definitely be heading back to that park and will have to clean up all of the pulltabs and bottle caps. I'll let you know if I find anything else.
