First silver from a few weeks ago

Hey everyone
I found this 1917 type 1 a few weeks ago and posted it in the whats it worth section with no response. I brought it to a coin shop and was offered $30. Not looking to sell just curious. Does this sound right?

You can go to Barnes & noble and pick up A copy of the RED BOOK a guide book of United States coins.....My 2008 say's it worth around $25.00.....HH

Silver is up 4 times so its probably worth more

I'd say it's worth around 40 to 50 bucks in that condition.
