Yay I finally found silver this year and the first with my new AT Pro. I credit it with the find. It was in a hunted out park laying right next to some iron. The Pro was able to separate the targets enough to tell me something good might be in the ground. 1945-S Merc. It actually has rust on it from the iron. image-1854760386.webp image-1382929900.webp Anyone know how I can clean the rust off without damaging the coin? Thanks!

Great find! Thanks for sharing...

nice dime....id leave the rust don't clean it.......the rust is part of the story. I'm sure you are going to keep it since it is your first silver.

Great detail on your Merc! Congrats!

Thanks everyone. SurfingDigger I think you're right about the rust. It is part of the dime's story. I don't plan on getting rid of any of my nice finds.
