First Silver of the year is a Seated Dime!!

I went hunting on Monday and got my first silver of the year and it was an 1891 Seated Dime! I was super surprised. This is my oldest silver coin to date and hope to find some more. I also found a 1951 rosie in the same yard. There is a video attached if you'd like to watch.

Just as soon as the weather is somewhat warm again. I'm going to go through it with my 8x6 sef and run the TTF program. Lots of iron in the soil.

Nope....she's a plain Jane....but I love her anyways.

thanks man....yeah I noticed Goes4ever got one too. It's been a good year so far, got my first seated....and won your buddy Treasurefiend's contest for the Morgan Dollar. Hope it keeps going this way.

You can never guess what you will find based on the age of the house. In 2011 I dug a beautiful 1889 seated dime at my grandpas 1950 house, and another seated dime I dug in the fall was at a 1940s house.
