Not the most exciting post but...

An exciting milestone for me. Hit my first silver quarter today!

Went to a private local residence today with a good friend and had a fun afternoon detecting the property. Dug a lot of wheaties and a TON of clad. Got lucky and pulled out this 1941 silver quarter to mark my first. Not 10 minutes earlier I told my friend Ryan that I was hoping to score a (silver) quarter today; and well I did.

Thanks for looking. Next time I post it will be something more exciting.

Congrats on your first silver! It always looks so pretty coming out of the ground. Nice post.

Good job friend, good big silver for your first!

I'd be stoked too! Congratulations on the silver.

Umm... Thanks for all the replies, however...

This was NOT my first silver coin.

It was my first silver quarter!

still havent found a silver quarter, just newer ones....congrats!

nice silver coin ,i was find 4 silver coin last year ,but smaller than yours

Sweet silver !!

It's nice seeing someone getting excited over the the HUNT, and not keeping a running tally of their "silver coins for the month", treating it like a job.
Sweet quarter!

:thumbsup:Congrats on finding your 1st silver quarter. My 1st silver quarter (which was also my first silver coin) was a 1950 Philadelphia quarter. I know what a thrill it must have been. Now go find some more.

HH

Congratulations! Silver is much harder to find than in the old days. Lucky to find even one on a hunt usually here. H.H. CARM
