Hehe, nice buffalo. Still have yet to find one of those. Grats!

Nice find , I would only clean it with soap, you can use warm peroxide and then some bees wax for the detail .... I wouldnt get to aggresive with cleaning it ...

sweet, thanks for the cleaning tips. the 1 and only wheatie from this hour long hunt is a 1958. didnt include that in the text. the buffalo is in very good condition seeing in how in could have been in the ground at least half a century. my ipod camera sucks but in person its in very nice shape. silver awaits me! Thanks for tips all and HH

Great find! Not bad for a 45 minute hunt. I'm sure we will dig up a few more goodies around the school.

Very good hunt.

Any time you can find a Buffalo with a readable date is a great find

Congratulations on the buffalo. I would consider you pretty lucky to find a coin that old at a school. It happens but not to often. Good luck in your future hunts.

I believe my school w as built in 1916. It's in a cinder block in the side of the building.found countless wheat pennies and this very nice looking ( in person) buffalo. A 21 standing liberty was pulled out of t here recently too.
