First thimble!

Got out to an old park dating to the early 1900s today and didn't do amazing on clad or old coins, but I found my first thimble! It reads Mex-o-ja coffee, and I researched the company and it says it was founded in the 1905, and closed a while after that, so I believe it is from the early 1900s. I couldn't find the exact thimble, so I'm hoping its uncommon. Other finds were a plastic half dollar (surface find, we thought we had the real deal!), an old key, some kind of old button, $3.78 in clad, 3 Canadian pennies, and some other odds and ends. If anyone knows anything about the thimble, please let me know. Thanks for looking and HH!

Another good day diggyboy, this is getting to be expected! Congrats on first thimble - does it appear to be silver? Can't tell by photo for sure. Thimble-ology is a specialty same as coins, and I'm no specialist, but I know that silver was common material for thimbles in 19th century, the older 18th century vintage was most commonly porcelain - that's all I've got! What's the inscription on the base, some letters visible in pic - that's your starting point

The inscription say mex-o-ja coffee... It was really deep and appears to be made of aluminum? I'm not sure, ill have to test it for silver. Sorry for the blurry pics, I will be getting a much better camera Wednesday (Galaxy S3) and will probably get out next weekend, and will post anything good I find. Thanks for all the support, HH!
