First time out of my back yard!

After I removed all of the nails/pennies/nickels/junk out of my back yard, I went to a friend’s house. He has 10 acres, of which 5 acres has rifle pits. He walked me around showing me the area, and I came out with 5 bullets, 3 of which I'm sure are Civil War era. I want to go back now and "map" all the pits on paper to try to get an orientation of all of the pits, and try to establish the defensive perimeter.
