First time this year...Help ID please
Today was too nice of a day to stay home and work inside. Robin and I decided to go for a hike and detect an area we had hiked by 25 years ago. We had to chop through some frost in areas, but it sure was fun. I’m told this area was abandoned in the early 1800s. By the finds I’m posting, would you agree? I’m not familiar with methods of shovel manufacturing over the years. I’m also curious what the items are below the bell. The only mark I see on the bell is a #9 for size. We got 3 buttons, all smooth. But what is the multi-pronged punch? For leather working? And the two pieces under the punch? Maybe from a bridle or something horse related? And the wedge like object? The thing that looks like 1/2 a buckle is decorated and appears to be copper. Thanks for any input!
