First trime out this year is a success

I've been looking for my first of these elusive little beauties and just nabbed one on my first hunt this season. I hope that portends some success for the rest of the year! Thought it might be a twopence tree coin for a sec when I saw how small it was and silver. I'll take it.
Forgot the pinpointer and spent at least 5 minutes searching for it in the last bit of daylight. I almost gave up to be honest. It was snowing and I was ready to quit...

Thank you! I hope you are able to get your coil over one. I really didn't have much confidence that I would, as they are so small and only made for 21 yrs. This field coughed up a couple large cents though so the time period was right.

That is sooooo nice, I've never found one. The pinpointer?, with my eye sight, or lack of, could not hunt without one, glad you stuck with it, stubbornness CAN pay off.
