First War Nickel

Good afternoon everyone, a quick morning hunt before the heat set in resulted in me finding my first war nickel.





I’m kind of surprised that it took me this long to find a war nickel, but I couldn’t be anymore pleased nonetheless.

Very nice, war nickels are one of my favorite US coins, Ive been collecting them since I was a kid. I used to find them in my change all the time up until a few years ago. Congrats!!!!!

Nice silver nickel Mike, been a while since I've seen anyone find one. Seems like for a while we were finding them a lot. Went back up this morning, rain started early though.
