Detector(s) used
Minelab Equinox 600 XP Deus
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Finally got a decent day with very low tide and little wind. Wanted to try out the Nokta Legend in the river. The similar priced Equinox 600 is still the best all around detector for the money imo. Found an 1896 IHP, 1858 FE(yes it actually has a date), piece of a trime, and a cut piece of colonial silver. Hammered English if I had to guess. Found a lot of little cut colonial pieces here over the years

Congrats on those cool water finds. The coin on the right has a cool what looks like a "reverse" silhouette image of a girl. I know it's just coincidental wear but
kind of reminds me of Cyndi Lauper.
And how bizarre... a fractional trime !!! How rare is that !!! Cheers !!

Ive found several toasted and broken trimes in this area.

Wow......how strange. I wonder what would cause a silver coin to break like that ?? It also looks like a crack is running toward the center near the bottom half of the star & is getting ready to break off. Anyone have any thoughts ? Could it be frost heaves?

Trimes really thin to begin with plus the salt water would wear them down even more until they just fall apart

Congratulations on your water hunt

Great finds - well done !

I can't be sure that hammered Silver is British but it does have a late hammered look to the letters.
