Finally got in the water today. Water conditions weren't ideal, but it wasn't too bad. Surf was at about 1.5ft. Sanded in pretty bad though. I hunted from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It took about 2 hours to locate my first coin. Just about noon, a guy approached me while I was hunting the wet sand. He told me his friend just lost his wedding ring a minute ago and asked if I could look for it. Of course I agreed. His friend was standing where he thought he lost it. I started my search in the chest-deep water with 1.5 ft seas. It took me less than 10 minutes to find the ring. The waves made it a little challenging to stay on target. Fortunately the one and only target I dug was the ring. Him and his wife were very grateful for the help and the onlookers on shore cheered. It was pretty awesome. After plenty of thanks, I continued on down the beach. The ring owner caught up with me and handed me some cash. I told him it wasn't necessary, but he insisted. I thanked him and finished my hunt.

Looks like a good day to me!! 1.5 don't sound like much but it can be a challenge! Nice work on the recovery n return.

Congrats on the return and the cash...my favorite part of the hobby is finding some ones ring for them...way to go.
