Re: first week's finds....

Hi Laralucine
Looks like some good fins, how about some details or close up pictures. It looks like you have some coins but I am unable to make out what they are for sure. Congrats on the finds and I hope you are digging up every signal you hear. I always tell my TH'ing buddies to dig up every signal as this is the only way to make sure you get a shot at finding those faint signals and know for sure that you did not miss any good targets. Keep digging up those targets as it looks like you are on the right path to find some really great items. :-)
Thanks

Re: first week's finds....

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I've actually been lurking on the forum for a year or so, just finally got a detector! - my house was built in 1907 - the coins are all pennies (1 wheat) and a clad quarter in the first group and 3 pennies (2 wheats) and a nickel in the second. I just came back in from outside and found 2 dimes, a nickel, and a penny or two. I'll post pix in a bit....My above post was brief b/c it took a while of trial and error to get the pictures small enough to fit, etc.

It will get better! Dont worry! Once u get all the nails out of the way you will have no problem getting the items!!! :)

Re: first week's finds....

Lara, it's great to see another female detectorist on Tnet. Welcome! :)

That Caterpillar item looks like a watch fob. Nice finds! :o

Re: first week's finds....

here's what I got today and then closeups of the better small stuff - the coin rows are pennies; 2 nickels, quarter, 2 dimes; and bottom row wheats. This is so addictive!

Thanks, Mona Lisa! The back of the Caterpillar tag says "Mingolla Machine Co., Concord, NH, Barre, VT."
HH,
Lara

Welcome! Glad to hear you're hooked.

Re: first week's finds....

Welcome to the forum Laralucine. You certainly did much better than I did my first week. This is certainly an addictive hobby for sure. IF only it payed to detect all the time it would be my full time job.

Welcome to TNet.
Great start to your treasure chest.
Keep filling it up, good luck.

That Watch Fob is really cool,
and fairly valuable by the looks of it.

Smiles!
