Fish in the field..eagle delight!

Water has gone up 5 feet in the last 3 days,I mowed this field 2 days ago..gotta wait now.





I got pretty close to this one eating a carp from the highwater about about 50 yards from the nest.






Went back at 3:00 pm and took a stroll to where we fish,someone had caught 4 striped bass took what they wanted and threw the rest back,a lot of good meat wasted.






Water at the fishing spot,usually gotta walk down to it.




I walked out into the eagle field and this one was setting up there keeping an eye on that carp..




A red wing blackbird kept dive bombing so he took off..




With the red wing in hot pursuit.

Great shots, but that place looks like Mosquitoville and tonight is theirs to celebrate all that flesh sitting in one spot on the damp grass watching the fireworks.

I've been out on the Nevada desert 9 miles from the closest water, and the mosquitoes would eat you alive.
