Fisher F4 11" DD is compatible with Bounty Hunter Detectors

Hi All,

I posted an email last night on another thread that I received from First Texas saying that the 11" DD coil was not compatible with BH machines. GOOD NEWS! I got a second email this morning and below is a portion of it.

..."I don’t know why but for some reason I had the 11” coils for our Teknetics models in mind when I answered your email.

The F4 coil is indeed compatible with the Bounty Hunter models."

This is good to know, and it is coming directly from First Texas themselves!

That's good to know, I wonder now that First Texas has acquired Fisher if more of the coils will be interchangeable.

I would guess that any coil that fits the Fisher F2 or F4 would fit traditional Bounty Hunter detectors. If you look at the optional coils that Kellyco offers for the Fisher F2/F4 they are the 4", 8" and 10" coils...just like BH. The only other coil that I have that I don't find offered anywhere is the 7" Bounty Hunter coil. I am getting a bit OCD about wanting all the BH coils that will fit my machines. I also want to get the open coil that comes on the Discovery 1100 and other similar machines. I'm sure it won't get me anything I don't already have but it is still the idea of having it.

Anything that is the same frequency should work......i think
