Greetings,
I kicked off today with a bit fishing. I was fishing off an old public wharf for bass and whatever else would come my way.
After two hours I had only a few nibbles. Watching the same baby smallmouth come after my 3/4 lure all morning wasn't cutting it.
It was just way too hot today for our standards. If I had a boat... I probably would have had better luck.
I looked over at the beach next to the wharf and noticed most of it was in the shade.
I decided to hit it.
It was trashy. I started detecting and quickly filled up a grocery bag full of coat hangers, pull tabs, bottle caps, full beer bottles... old barbeque grills, batteries, the works.
Here's my finds. A '66 dime and '84 nickel (US). Two quarters (CDN - bottom right one found in 2" water) , the bottom of a bullet with some weird thing growing on it (thought I had a button for a second), and a St. Louis blues beer cap (the only one worth showing off).
Lol, go Halak.
Going back out right now, a lil closer to home.
