Flaking pattern is odd.....

One on the flakes I have has layers of flaking-almost like a pilsbury biscuit. I have never seen flaking like this . Is has some nice utilization on one end that does not show up on camera. Is the layered flaking a result of use or a natural trait of chert?

Looks like debitage from percussion knapping.

Third picture down I see what looks like a bulb of percussion on the piece. My guess is that it is just a piece of debitage from the making of a tool or point.
