Am working on it now. Will give update when I have one. ThanksNice old Button !
There's probably a mfg's. name on the backside around the shank - could be the Scovill Co. in CT ?
Believe this is oldest item I have dug to date.Am working on it now. Will give update when I have one. Thanks
My wife is always with me. She carry’s the bucket with extra tools. Would be a lot more difficult without her. Carry’s a machete in the other hand watching for snakes and cutting briars. Makes getting up and down a lot easier. Pretty good gig for me. 😁I bet that iron was a load in your pouch. That is why I aways carry a 5 gallon bucket

Great that you got some older recoveries.Better than yesterday. A couple items I don’t know what they are. Always makes for a better day. Happy hunting everyone.
The item in the top center, the thing in the center of the picture that almost looks like a primitive iron, and the spike and the piece linked to it are the items I am curios about. The button says Superfine London Colour. As for the headstamps I have looked up so many that unless it is something I don’t recognize I just put them in a jar. A few of them are UMC club and a good many UMC new club. Hope that answers your inquiries. Thanks for lookingGreat that you got some older recoveries.
Which items are a mystery to you?
Nice going on the button, certainly you in the Victorian era.
The picture cut off the maker's name
Could you take another photo or just tell us what it says?
Also you can find out what age of the 2 headstamps looking through this link.
