Found this morning in buried harness dump site. It doesn’t appear to be harness-related. I suppose it’s farm equipment-related. Kind of resembles a blade blank for a short sword, but too thin. Any info appreciated.

the first thing that comes to my mind is a door hinge of some sort. But it looks like there are no holes though. which would make its life as a hinge pretty hard. Maybe the blacksmith lost it beofore he was able to punch/drill holes through it. With that rust its made of iron right?

Yes, it is iron and has no holes.
