FLEETWOOD MAC

Sure liked Stevie Nicks-:headbang:

In concert she did so many costume changes and nose powdering's

One of my favorite bands through the 70s, 80s & 90s... I feel fortunate to have grown up during the Rock N Roll era. :headbang:

The first stereo I bought in 1976 had an 8-track set up.
In 1982, I was devastated when the music companies stopped shipping 8-tracks to their retailers and the car makers removed the 8-track stereo from new car models.
The compact cassette is the main reason why 8-tracks were faded out from the electronics industry.

Nice to know I'm not the only 'old dude' on here Jeff. :laughing7:

yea I continued to buy 8 track tapes at yard sales and at columbia house
all the way through the cassette tape period. once cd's came out I switched to Cassettes

I owned probably somewhere around 1000 8 tracks, Never really Counted and {Memory Farts]
also Had a Few Classic Reel to Reel Reels. janis joplin, joe cocker mad dogs and englishmen etc.
I tried to amass as many Cassettes but never made it, gave up when my Cassettes starting getting ate
by the Players.
I owned 5 CD's I bought at a Yard sale . only one I Really liked was a NWA CD

XM Radeo destroyed the Entire Industry. now i just do fm in the car

Actually the Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (original name of the band) song was "I loved Another Woman". Carlos Santana stole the music and wrote "Black Magic Woman" to Peter Green's melody. Somewhere in the pile I have the first British release album of Peter Green's Fleetwod Mac. I actually preferred the more raw blues of the original band than the Stevie Nicks pop music version although the latter does have it's place.

Believe it or not I still have my collection of 8 Track tapes still in the case.

I hear you Jeff, when I found out 8 tracks were discontinued, I decided then and there that I'd never buy a cassette tape. :laughing7:
Instead I went out and bought a top-of-the-line Rega Turntable, some large Bose Speakers and a Harman Kardon Receiver.
If I remember correctly the whole set-up cost me $3,000. In 1983, I was 19 and only making $7.50 and hour, so that was a lot of money for me.
By 1989, I had over 200 LP's, it was at this time the music companies stopped releasing new music on vinyl LP's and started making plastic CD's.
I now own close to 400CD's... I wonder what's going to be next? :icon_scratch:
