Here is a thick flint axe that I found a few years ago. It has a bullseye on the side. Must be some kind of ore vein or something. It still has a pretty good bit. This is one of those that they carved a hole into a wooden handle that was large enough to jam the back end of the axe into. The more they used it, the tighter it got wedged in the handle.

NICE!!! i swear i had a axe today but the ground was frozen so i could not pull it out. so i pilled up some mudd so i would know where to look when i leave.(it was getting warmer) well as luck has it it started pouring and i could not find my spot, i looked untill dark. all i found was the broke hafted scraper. but that was my frst one so i was happy

The good thing is, it is still going to be there when you go back. It will take a little bit of looking, but you'll find it eventually. I almost ran over one one time with my truck tire. I had stopped to eat lunch and happened to look down beside my tire. It was sticking up out of the ground about 2 feet from my tire. Lunch ended pretty quick....

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!! I've only found 1 that even remotely resembles a flint axe... Not as good as yours tho!

keep em coming!
