Flint River Watershed

I was down off Hobbs Island rd. the other day and came across a few bridge supports that seemed to be made for horses and might have lasted long enough to carry a few early cars in its day. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the area like its history or especially old maps that might show where these roads ran to.
